Car Accident Injury Guide

After a crash, the injuries that cost people the most are usually the ones they did not mention. This guide walks the body the way we walk a new case: region by region, what gets hurt, which symptoms get dismissed, and what to tell your doctor. Hover or tap a body region, or use the buttons, to explore.

Hover or click the figure, or tap a region name.

Two rules that apply to every region

First, be thorough, head to toe. At every appointment, list every symptom, even the small ones overshadowed by the big one. What is not in the medical records did not happen, as far as an insurance company is concerned.

Second, report the worst it gets. Pain comes and goes, and if you rate it by how you feel sitting calmly in the exam room, your records will quietly say you were barely hurt. Give the honest range, like “an 8 with activity, a 3 right now,” and let the doctor parse it. Never inflate and never shrink.

If you were hurt in a crash in California, Florida, or Ohio and want to talk it through, the consultation is free: (323) 325-5634 in California, (407) 630-8692 in Florida, or (419) 408-4024 in Ohio.
